Clothing for the Well Dressed Doll

About Lena

From  Russia to America...

Hello!

I would like to say a few words about myself...

I was born in Russia and as many other little girls I liked to play with dolls. I wanted them to be a part of my life and as soon as I had to change my dress they had to do it too... The first dress for my doll I made when I was about 5 years old, when I was about 6 my mom taught my sister and me how to sew and knit.

When I was in a high school I started to make clothes for my friends, for my family, and later, when I was in university,  for my baby girl who became a big inspiration for me, and of course, for myself. Using all my experience today I create my own designs, sew, knit, crochet, do needlework, read patterns from pictures without descriptions (although I really like to create my own from scratch).  I like to work on details that make everything I create unique and unusual.

Since coming to America I has begun to realize my dream of making outfits for many of my little friends. My first one was Charming Chatty, then a little cute Ann Estelle came along and brought all of her friends. I could not resist her, she reminded me my daughter when she was little. Tyler brought me back to my prom and those days when you want to wear a dress that nobody else has...

Today I work with different types of dolls. I create special outfits for modern and old dolls. I enjoy letters and pictures from my customers sharing their thoughts and ideas with me. I am so happy to see that my creations are appreciated.

My website is still developing but I hope you will enjoy your tour... If you can not find something you are looking for, or just want to share your ideas, please, feel free to contact me. I am always happy to help!

Sincerely,

Lena Ward
