Her creations make use of various types of fabrics and styles ranging from cotton to velvet and satin to silk.

Lena has also knitted many outfits and costumes for modern and older dolls such as big and small Ann Estelle and Betsy McCall in the Robert Tonner collection, Bitty Bethany and Riley by Helen Kish Doll Company, Charmin Chatty and Chatty Cathy created by Mattel. She uses a variety of domestic and imported yarns from Italy, Australia, Egypt, Germany, and the United States..

Although she creates outfits from her own design concepts Lena also welcomes requests and suggestions from her clients.

Special requests are handled through internet correspondence and pictures are provided before the item is sent.
